Abstract:
Recently, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services published a letter that clarifies its 1997 letter describing the conditions under which a justice-involved individual is deemed an “inmate of a public institution” and thus ineligible for federal financial participation for Medicaid-covered services.
