Abstract: 

What precisely does it mean when a criminal defendant is found not guilty by reason of insanity (NGRI)? What typically occurs following a NGRI verdict? This article examines the case of a defendent post NGRI verdict who continues to commit criminal acts in the mental hospital setting.
