Abstract:
H.R. 1772: the Distracted Driving Prevention Act of 2011, was introduced on May 5, 2011 and sent the next day to the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology. The Drunk Driving Repeat Offender Prevention Act of 2011 concerns itself with the installation of ignition interlock devices by specifying that a state’s law must allow for the installation of an ignition interlock device for a minimum of 180 days on each motor vehicle operated by an individual who is convicted of driving while intoxicated or driving under the influence.Keywords: texting, primary offense, increased fines/penalties, handheld, entertainment display, television, Kulesh Kubert’s Law, CB, Mature Drivers Act
