Abstract:
As with alcohol, it is illegal in all 50 states to drive under the influence of drugs. Unfortunately, prosecuting cases of impaired driving due to drug (rather than alcohol) ingestion poses greater difficulties. This article compares alcohol cases and drug cases and presents to complexities that make drug cases harder to prove.Keywords: BAC; Drug Recognition Experts (DREs);
