Abstract: 

Congress has begun to examine various aspects of many of the laws that affect higher education in the United States as part of the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act, which will occur in 2003 and 2004. One of the laws which Congress will likely consider is the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. This article discusses how the Clery Act can be improved, what changes need to be made to it, and what you can do to help accomplish this.
