Abstract: 

Review of recent court decisions involving alcohol advertisements being prohibited in college newspapers (court rejects First Amendment challenge to Virginia law prohibiting alcohol-related advertisements in college newspapers), the liability of a college in a fatal snowmobile accident (college not liable for fatal snowmobile accident on state-owned lake, even though some on-campus drinking may have contributed to the accident), a transfer student’s grade challenge on the basis of unfair treatment (Court Rejects Grade Challenge by Transfer Student Who Claimed Unfair Treatment), the limitation the Second Amendment presents to campus weapons control (Constitutional right to bear arms is potential pimitation on campus weapons control), the dismissal of a graduate student for religious based inhibitions (university may be liable for dismissing graduate counseling student who, for religious reasons, refused to counsel gay clients on issues related to their sexuality);
