Abstract: 

This issue features a review, written by one of the country’s leading health law experts, of important changes to the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (known as HIPAA) brought about by the enactment in 2009 of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act; a practical treatment of pregnancy and common complications that arise among incarcerated women; and reviews of important legal decisions and research of direct interest to correctional health professionals.
