Abstract:

The following is the final article in a three-part series on Medical Software on the Web. The series of articles describes how to use medical software, and provides a wealth of medical software resources, products, and directories that can be either purchased or downloaded from the Web. The topic of medical software should be of particular interest to the staff in correctional infirmaries for two reasons: 1) most prisons have limited in-house medical libraries and references, and 2) physicians who work in the correctional environment may feel some degree of medical/intellectual isolation compared to those physicians who are hospital-based, and access to medical software can help to alleviate that concern.
