Abstract:

Question: Our jail was built in the 1960s; the sinks throughout the cell and dormitory areas are original and function as designed. The sinks are porcelain and have a single, spigot/ finger-activated water fountain bubbler combination. We need to replace these sink controls with units that meet handicap accessibility requirements and encourage personal hygiene. Is there any guidance you can give us to improve upon what we have?
