Abstract:
Teledentistry is the transfer of visual information to aid in the decision-making process of dentistry. In order to better understand teledentistry it is important to have a working knowledge of how it operates, only then can the proper system be matched with the needed application. Teledentistry is similar to any other type of teleconferencing in that it is dependent on the type of transmission lines, available bandwidth, and protocols utilized. Controlling these variables will allow the quality of the transmission to be at the necessary level. Keywords: Studio quality, Talking heads, Store and Forward
