Abstract:
The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) is the Washington metropolitan area planning organization for the seventeen local governments in Northern Virginia, Suburban Maryland, and the District of Columbia. The Council of Governments provides technical expertise and develops coordinated regional responses to a variety of issues, including public health and public safety assistance.
