Abstract:
Municipal Liability for Inadequate Health Care. Although the legal controversies regarding prison health care generally center on the question of whether or not an individual defendant has violated a prisoner’s constitutional right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment, there is also a line of cases brought under 42 U.S.C. 1983, Civil Action for Deprivation of Rights, that focus on the issue of municipal liability for inadequate health care.Keywords: Graham v.
