Abstract:

Malingerers used to make my blood boil. I viewed them as people who are thieves and liars who flaunt their ability to abuse my trust and caring as a medical professional. Worse, I knew they thought I was stupid, or else they would not have tried to con me. This article will tell you how I changed my view, and more important, how I changed the way I deal with this common and frustrating problem in correctional health care.
