Abstract:

Like most forms of technology, radiographic imaging equipment has, over the past two decades, steadily declined in cost. Consequently, correctional organizations can now afford CT, MRI, and digital radiography. Furthermore, because mobile CT and MRI scanners expand scheduling options and reduce costs, many organizations can contract for to use such equipment for one or two days a week, if their need doesnot warrant a permanent system. Bringing radiographic imaging onsite can not only reduce costs but also improve security.
