Abstract: 

The prison health professional provides care to a community of individuals, many of whom have complex, serious needs. These health care providers must also find a way to deliver appropriate care in environments that are often anti-therapeutic. In countries with few resources, the task can be overwhelming. This article offers prison officials in developing countries a framework forsetting priorities while planning to meet the health care needs of prisoners.
