Abstract: 

As a correctional physician I have the privilege of providing care for people who need it, care that they otherwise might never see, care that can improve and prolong their lives. This is a privilege shared with all health care professionals working behind the walls and remains one of my persisting beliefs regarding my responsibilities as a physician. But while I believe health care is a right afforded to all by a wealthy society, I also believe there are limits.
