Abstract: 

Bradley Ballard, 39, diagnosed schizophrenic and diabetic, was not given his medication while confined under mental observation at Riker’s Island subsequently dies from diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). The New YorkCity Medical Examiner rules that the manner of death is, indeed, a homicide directly caused by the compounded failures of NYC DOC and its contracted medical provider, Corizon Inc.
