Abstract:

Anthony Overla is a young man whose right leg was amputated early in life requiring him to wear a prosthetic device. While incarcerated at Tippecanoe County Jail he suffered pain and damage to his stump and contracted MRSA, harm that could have been prevented by providing him with a lower bunk and attaching a bar to the wall of the shower stall.
