Abstract:
On January 15, 2007, I was assaulted by an inmate. Security had made rounds during the evening, but no officer was then present. Although no employee did anything wrong, the inmate took advantage of my vulnerability to attack me, tie me up, steal my purse, cell phone, and car keys, and then escape by crashing my Jeep through the fence surrounding the prison. Keywords: rehabilitation, surgery, nightmares, Vicodin, PTSD, survival stress reaction
