Abstract: 

Two recent events—a webinar and a conference—explored how trauma-informed practices and theories can improve APS and other organizations serving survivors of abuse and violence. The National Adult Protective Services Resource Center sponsored a webinar, entitled “Trauma-Informed Services for Elders With Abuse Histories,” on July 11, 2012. Sponsored by SafePlace, The Moving Forward in Challenging Times conference was held in Austin,TX, on July 6-8, 2011.
