Abstract:
Conventional wisdom has long held that, although women have been deeply involved in charitable activities as both donors and volunteers, the household charitable purse strings have been held by men. A new study suggests otherwise. Contrary to conventional wisdom, women play a much bigger role in charitable giving than previously thought, and they actually share or control 90% of household charitable decisions. Keywords: high-net-worth households, Investment Risk Tolerance, nonprofit organizations
