Abstract:
What should a lawyer do if it appears that his or her relationship witha charitable organization might raise even an appearance of conflict with the interests of an estate planning client? Two pronouncements, from the ethics committees of the Maryland and Nevada bar associations, suggest some important rules for family foundations and their advisors who wish to avoid the problem.Keywords: Ethics and Professional Responsibility
