Abstract:
A new lawsuit is filed to obtain recognition by a court in the United States of the foreign judgment. The state and county of the debtor’s domicile is generally the proper venue for the suit to domesticate the foreign judgment. The judgment must come from a system of jurisprudence likely to secure an impartial administration of justice between the citizens of its own country and those of other countries. Keywords: Uniform Foreign Money Judgments Recognition Act
