Abstract: 

The author, an infectious disease doctor, explains why two doses of the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA-based vaccines are needed to reach full immunity from Covid-19, why the doses are separated by 3-4 week intervals, and why the COVID-19 vaccine still works if people are late receiving their second dose.
