Abstract: 

This issue of JCC presents two important research articles on drug courts, one presenting a meta-analytic review of their effectiveness, the other examining the influence of motivational enhancement therapy on retention rates. A third article discusses learning organizations and the need for community corrections to understand and adopt the principles of a learning organization if the field is to grow and expand. The final article indicates the role that community corrections might play in this U.N. year of mother and child.
