Abstract:
The Center for Effective Philanthropy recently published a report examining the relationship between grantees and the foundations that fund them. The May 2004 publication, “Listening to Grantees: What Nonprofits Value in their Foundation Funders,” was based on 6,000 surveys sent to grantees of 30 large foundations. Grantees expected more non-financial help—strategic planning advice, general management advice, performance measurement devices, accounting help, and succession planning—than they received. Keywords:
