Abstract:

A recently released study shows that the baby baby-boom generation, whose members are now approaching their 60th birthdays, contributes more money to charity and other causes than their older “pre-boomer” counterparts. The study, entitled “ Boomers! Navigating the Generational Divide in Fundraising and Advocacy,” was conducted by a Virginia-based fund-raising firm (Craver, Mathews, Smith & Co.) and a Washington research and consulting firm (The Prime Group). An executive summary of the findings is available at www.donortrends.com.
