Abstract: 

A newly passed law, AB-872, finalized as “Chapter 167 (2017) School employees: employment: sex offenses,” expands the intersections between penal law and the state education code so a broader list of sex offenses will require mandatory suspension from teaching. This article examines the main provisions of the law and enforcement mechanisms.
