Abstract: 

The authors, co-editors of “Sexual Violence: Evidence Based Policy and Prevention” suggest that it may be time to focus efforts to deal with sex offenses away from criminal justice approaches (such as Megan’s Laws and other SORNA-type statutes) in favor of evidence-based prevention programs that research is finding lower offending at much lower cost than law enforcement-based methods.
