Abstract: 

Our regular review of the research literature this issue addresses “Sexual Violence, Race, and Media (In)Visibility: Intersectional Complexities in a Transnational Frame” by Vrushali Patil & Bandana Purkayastha explores how media coverage of sexual violence differs by location and by the race of the victim, “The Effect and Implications of Sex Offender Residence Restrictions: Evidence From a Two-State Evaluation”by Beth M. Huebner, Kimberly R. Kras, Jason Rydberg, Timothy S. Bynum, Eric Grommon, & Breanne Pleggenkuhle examines the effectiveness of residency restrictions in Missouri and Michigan by comparing recidivism rates and residential choices for both offenders and nonoffenders before and after the restrictions were enacted.
