Abstract: 

This article addresses the school functioning concerns and corresponding support services for school-age children with attention defi cit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). After briefly reviewing the research on school-based services and psychosocial interventions, the article discusses important aspects of educational rights, school discipline practices, and transition planning, leading to specific recommendations that mental health professionals can share with educators and families of school-age children with ADHD.
