Abstract:
This article provides an overview of a number of contemporary issues in child and family mental health, as drawn from recent presentations and symposia at the 2011 program of the Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice at the American Psychological Association National Convention. Key themes included the enhancement of existing child and family prevention and intervention services to support families, training practitioners to utilize new research evidence, and the promotion of advocacy and public policy surrounding youth mental health.Keywords: Youth mental health; dissemination; implementation; advocacy; public policy
