Abstract: 

International trade affects our national economy and can influence particular state and local economies, as introduced by David Hitchcock who is director of municipal ratings. The broad trends and forecast scenarios are reviewed by Sara Johnson, the North America research director and chief regional economist for the firm that many states rely on in making their budget forecasts. Translating the impact of world trade matters locally is Port of Long Beach executive Paul Brown.
