Abstract:
The choice of entity under which business is conducted affects the federal income taxation of employee benefit and fringe benefit plans offered to the employees and owners of an entity. This aspect of selecting a choice of entity is often overlooked. The wrong choice can lead to a significant extra tax liability either for the entity or the owners of the entity. This article will provide an explanation of the impact of entity selection on the taxability and deductibility of the most common employee benefit and fringe benefit plans offered by employers. Keywords:
