Abstract:

In October 2005, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency issued a Collective Investment Funds Handbook (“CIF Handbook”), providing an overview of the funds, their associated risks, and providing a framework for managing those risks. The Handbook supplements the “Investment Management Services” booklet of the Comptroller’s Handbook. The CIF Handbook and its procedures are to be used when the risks warrant review beyond the standard core assessment.
