Abstract: 

In TAM 200651023, the taxpayer bank had requested rulings concerning a group master life insurance policy that was purchased to provide employee benefits for the taxpayer’s parent and its banking affiliates. Legal title to the policy was held by “Entity,” which was determined to be a partnership for federal tax purposes.
