Abstract: 

In September 2015, the Securities and Exchange Commission proposed rules and related rule amendments relating to open-end fund liquidity risk management. This column summaries the proposed rules and then presents a sampling of the many comments filed in response to them by a broad array of industry participants. Overall, commentators criticized the proposal as being too rigid and difficult to implement, and some commentators have proposed alternatives.
