Abstract:
This article explores the inherent conflict that exists between shelter-in-place and social distancing polices and the lived experiences of domestic violence survivors. It discusses how the assumptions underlying shelter-in-place negatively impact survivors, and examines the implications that these policies have for domestic violence organizations when addressing housing and technology issues during and post-pandemic. Short- and long-term strategies are offered for better serving survivors during these challenging times. Keywords: Housing Programs; Hoteling Survivors; Technology and Privacy
