Abstract: 

Noted DV expert Lundy Bancroft examines the significant flaws and omissions in Janet Johnston’s widely used “typology of batterers.” In attempting to identify those batterers most likely to endanger children, Johnston’s system focuses on physical harm but fails to address a wide range of other risks, including sexual and psychological abuse.
