Abstract:
This article is a first-person account of an investigation of a sexual abuse complaint against a client’s son-in-law, in which issues of the victim’s possible dementia complicate the investigation. The author reports that by the use of counseling techniques a rapport was developed, and, through continued conversation, inconsistencies between differing reports were resolved.
