Abstract:
Elder abuse occurs when an older person is harmed, mistreated, exploited, or neglected by someone they know and should be able to trust. The abuse may involve physical harm, but that is not always the case, and most elder abuses a criminal act of some form. This article discusses the phenomenon as it occurs in the U. K., and includes a table summarizing the nature of the reported incidents.Keywords: NCSC complaints
