Abstract: 

This article below was prompted by an article published in a previous issue of VED which discussed the negative uses of FC by a professor, a problem that stemmed from the ethical violations of engaging in a sexual relationship with a student. The author here explains how FC works, the controversies related to FC, and recommendations on ethical execution.
