Abstract:

This brief report profiles 95 rural offenders on community supervision who have entered a study to examine the feasibility of using telemedicine as a service delivery strategy to increase access to evidence-based services for an at-risk group of rural offenders in a setting that they frequently visit—the probation and parole office. Although this randomized trial is ongoing, this current brief report profiles the alcohol use and related problems that characterize the treatment needs among this at-risk group of offenders.
