Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to enhance our understanding of the ways in which alcohol and substance abuse treatment programs adapt their delivery of services for homeless individuals who have histories of criminal justice system involvement. The study’s findings suggest a number of ways that further research may inform the implementation of future programs. As an exploratory study, it illuminates some of the ways in which providers respond to the challenges that they encounter in working with people with criminal records.
