Abstract:
Research shows that the reentry planning circle, a goal-oriented method of reentry assistance that involves an offender’s natural support network, is effective for helping offenders’ families heal. The process also addresses the two most important aspects of criminal desistance: relationships with law-abiding people and meaningful employment. Walker explains the characteristics and benefits of reentry planning circles. Keywords: reentry planning circles; reentry
