Abstract: 

The fortune society—a powerful criminal justice advocate and service provider—recently held a focus group that was centered on educational and vocational training in the prison system. The focus group was composed of Fortune Society clients, many of whom recently exited the New York State prison system. Martin discusses the clients’ ideas on how vocational and educational training can be improved in prison programs.
