Abstract:
Understaffing, use of force and segregation, treatment records, screening and evaluation, and suicide prevention are examined when a claim of deliberate indifference is filed against the SCDC. A state court concludes that inadequate mental health staffing at all levels within SCDC represents a substantial risk of serious harm to inmates with serious mental illness. Keywords: T.R., et al. v.
