Abstract:
It has long been suggested that the mentally ill inmate is at increased risk of sexual victimization. Whereas the patterns of sexual victimization remained unchanged, National Inmate Survey-3 was the first of the three national surveys to estimate sexual victimization rates among mentally ill prison and jail inmates.
