Abstract:
To avoid the acquisition of easily obtained, lifeprotecting information in order to avoid creation of an “actual knowledge” duty is, in my view, willful blindness and the equivalent of actual knowledge for the purpose of deliberate indifference.Keywords: Madoff, Rakoff, “flags of suspicion”
