Abstract:

Henry Kodimer committed suicide as a pretrial detainee in a San Diego County jail. In a poorly written, factually deficient Order, Federal District Court Judge Benitez grants the several defendants’ motion to dismiss. This means Judge Benitez concludes that a reasonable jury could have no reasonable basis to attach liability to the screening nurse, the classification deputy, or the County.
